Our inventory is the exact same as found in galleries or auction houses at higher prices since all prints were produced using the same negatives.unless as odds are, they purchased their prints from an outside source. Remember, you do not know the true origin of prints others sale and do know exactly were ALL of our inventory originated.from Julius himself. Unlike many galleries, we do not sell used prints and represent them to be new. 100% of our prints are new unless they are noted otherwise. All our inventory came to us directly from Julius Shulman's studio. The Julius Shulman Trust and Photographic Archives has authenticated our inventory. This website is managed and financed by Julius' longtime friends.

We are constantly contacted to review prints and Julius' signature on what are reported to be his original prints. We never cease to be amazed at what we see. And the seller has a no refund policy or charges you a restocking fee. Some galleries who hide their online prices have purchased inventory from us for resell at higher prices. Their inventory consists of approximately 7 Shulman prints and our webpage has over 1,750 Shulman prints (and much more to come). No one can compete with our low prices, our perfect reputation, our no restocking fee and our great return and refund policy.(although since our website first started in 2010 we have never been asked for a refund or exchangen or had a complaint). We are glad to answer any questions, but do we not purchase prints.

Julius Shulman was often referred to “As the leading architectural photographer of the 20th century” and 'The recorder of American Modernism' was born October 10,1910 and peacefully passed away at his secluded Hollywood Hills home on July 15, 2009. Julius Shulman’s long journey as a photographer and environmentalist started by chance Born to a Russian Jewish family in Brooklyn, Julius Shulman moved to Los Angeles in 1920. His family opened and operated a dry goods store. Without any formal photographic training, Shulman audited various classes at UCLA and UC Berkeley before returning to Los Angeles in 1936 to start his career as a professional photographer In 1936 Julius Shulman was taken to a construction site of what was to be known as the “Kun” house in Los Angeles. Having his pocket camera with him, Julius Shulman decided to take a series of shots and sent them to the architect, Richard Neutra.
Neutra was so pleased with the shots that he purchased them and asked Julius Shulman to continue shooting his projects. As word spread of this young talented photographer, other architects hired Shulman including Frank Lloyd Wright, R.M. Schindler, J.R.
Davidson, Charles and Ray Eames and the architect who would design Julius Shulman’s own Hollywood Hills home, Raphael Soriano. The home was later named a historic-cultural monument by the Cultural Heritage Board in Los Angeles. As the years passed, thanks to his famous clients and extensive magazine spreads (staff photographer for Arts & Architecture) and hundreds of articles in the L A Times, Julius Shulman’s accomplishments would become recognized internationally.
Soon Julius Shulman was traveling on assignments all over the world for both foreign architects, foreign governments, magazines and newspapers. In 1969 Julius Shulman was awarded the AIAA Architectural Photography Medal for his accomplishments that memorialized the Southern California lifestyle for future generations. Shortly before his death, Julius Shulman sold a majority of his archives to the Getty Reaserch Institude in Los Angeles. The sale of approximately 260,000 of the over 275,000 negatives shot over Shulmans's 75 year career was in keeping with Julius Shulman's intent to preserve his lifelong work for generations to come. Not known to many was Julius Shulman's love for teaching future generations about their environment and preserving the planet.
During one year alone Julius Shulman donated over a million dollars to local universities and organizations. Throughout his lifetime, Julius Shulman advised architects and photographers with proper techniques with the intent of boosting their careers. Julius Shulman introduced these architects and photographers to his successful colleagues, who had established themselves in an attempt to furthering their careers and continue the challenging task of documenting the wonderful world of architecture that Julius loved so much.
Julius Shulman, MD, founder of Eastside Eye Associates, has been recognized for his dedicated patient care, outstanding clinical knowledge, and exceptional cataract and laser surgical skills. From the simple task of prescribing eyeglasses to patients who cannot see, to the most technologically advanced laser assisted cataract surgery in patients who similarly cannot see, Dr. Shulman’s clinical and surgical skills fuel the engine of his modern day ophthalmology practice. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Shulman attended Brooklyn College and SUNY Downstate Medical School. After finishing his ophthalmology residency in 1975 at Mt Sinai Hospital, out of Brooklyn but happily still in New York, Dr. Shulman started what was to become one of the busiest ophthalmology practices in New York City, Eastside Eye Associates on Manhattan’s Upper Eastside.
Over the course of his nearly 40 years in practice, Dr. Shulman has had several major accomplishments, devoted patient care not withstanding. He pioneered the use of intraocular lenses during cataract surgery at Mt Sinai Hospital, as well as two forms of sterile technique that are now standard practice during thousands of eye operations city-wide. He has been on several medical missions, two to India, and four to Peru, volunteering his time to help bring sight to those blind and less fortunate. His two books, the first, “CATARACTS: THE COMPLETE GUIDE – FROM DIAGNOSIS TO RECOVERY-FOR PATIENTS AND FAMILIES”, originally published by Simon and Schuster, and the second, “NO MORE GLASSES-THE COMPLETE GUIDE TO LASER VISION CORRECTION” published by iUniverse, were the first books in their field to help patients make a truly informed decision on cataract and laser vision surgery.
Shulman was also honored as a Best Doctor in New York Magazine, a Top Doctor in the New York Times and in Castle Connolly. He is proud to be inducted into Worldwide Registry. Julius Shulman became one of the first physicians in New York to perform surgery to correct nearsightedness. The development of the excimer laser has revolutionized the correction of nearsightedness, astigmatism and farsightedness, and now Laser Vision Correction has become a main area of concentration in his practice. His first book, Cataracts, The Complete Guide (Simon and Schuster, 1984, revised St. Martin’s Press, 1993) won a Bronze National Health Information Award in 1994. Shulman’s second book, No More Glasses (iUniverse, 2007), reflects the goal of modern laser vision correction and has been completely revised to include the latest advances in laser technology.
